Pebble Gear Tablet Review

Screen Time, we all use it and its been a godsend during Lockdown. What worries me is what is on the internet, I hear friends saying they have come in and their children have been watching inappropriate videos etc which hugely frightens me, so when I discovered Pebble Gear I loved the idea of these kid-friendly tablets.

There a two options when choosing your Pebble Gear Tablet. There is a Toy Story 4 and Frozen 2 version. We chose the Frozen Version. In the box is a 7 inch tablet, bumper case, instruction manual and charger and they have recently released new accessories to go with your tablet too.

Harper and I unpacked the tablet and she couldn’t wait to have a go. We popped it on charge. When we turned it on it was easy to get started, personalizing the home screen, choosing an avatar and downloading some games.

The app store is easy to navigate and choose age appropriate games. We chose colour matching, colouring and some counting games. As a teacher its so important for children to be using technology that not only is safe but suitable for their ages. Harper loves colouring so she is obsessed with colouring on the tablet.

The tablet is priced at £99.99 and it includes membership to the app store for 1 year.

It really is a child friendly tablet, where there is no risk of any dodgy content. I feel really confident of Harper playing on it without supervision and she enjoys playing the games. The bumper case is strong and ensures it survives any drops which is inevitable with little ones. You can also set timers to ensure they don’t exceed the amount of time you want your little one to be using the tablet for.

Overall I am very impressed, its extremely child friendly to use and also safe. It is a great price and perfect to pack in the nappy bag to give to your child while out and about when they just need to sit down for 5 minutes. The tablet was kindly gifted to Harper to review and she has enjoyed trying it out. I have also enjoyed having a little bit of time to myself while she's playing on it.
